Pied-à-Terre for Art Collectors

The initial ask of the owners of this space, who spend most of their time at their home outside of the city, was to create a no frills “hotel suite” for themselves and their grown children when visiting the city. A powder room was added to the original 1-bath / 1-bedroom space, and new millwork, floors, lighting, and plumbing fixtures were added throughout. Mid century modern furniture pieces provide additional character to each understated room finish. Located on the 18th floor, the project has an excellent view of the MOMA sculpture garden below, which provides a compelling backdrop for the owners' ever growing art collection on display in the apartment.
